In summer is Jasenská Dolina popular with mountaineers and hikers (there are many hiking trails in Big Fatra), cycling (in year 2000 marked cycling trails were created) and the tranquil atmosphere creates the perfect opportunity to relax.

Company Jased operates summer grass skiing  and downhill scooters during summer. In Kašova there is also BBQ area and playground for children. In recent years, camps and outdoor educational centers have been organised for children from industrial areas as well as other outdoor activities for the whole family.

The Big Fatra was declared  a National park in 2002. It´s one of the most beautiful Slovak mountains. It stretches from Banska Bystrica to river Vah valley. A substantial part of the mountains is in the TURIEC region. There are many valleys and canyons in the Turcany area of the Big Fatra.

This region offers many opportunities for mountain for mountaineering, cycling, recreation and stunning views  of the entire area. The most beautiful valley is Gaderska and Blatnicka. The Belianska, Kantorská and Necpalská valleys are also charming.

Region TURIEC (Žilina) is situated in the north-western part of Slovakia and is well-known for its rich history and natural beauty. It is also known as Turčianska garden. The Small Fatra lie to the north west and are divided by the river Vah, to the south lies the Kremnica Mountains and Žiar and the Big Fatra situated to the east.

Turiec is famous for its enchanting forests, valleys, rivers full of fish, thermal springs, wildlife and natural beauty.

Turiec offers many recreational activitiec - hiking, biking, winter sports, swimming, fishing, hunting and education, history and folk tradition.

Martin is the cultural of the Turiec region. The city is rich in history and there are many cultural attractions, such as:
Matica Slovakia, National Cemetery, Turčianska gallery, Slovak national museum, Museum of Slovak Village - the largest exhibition of traditional architecture in Slovakia.

NORDIC WALKING - Belianskou dolinou through education trail Vôdky (Jasenská dolina)

Nature trail have been available since 2009 witch connect the village Bela Dulice and Jasenská valley - Kašova. The area is not popular only for education but is also ideal for recreational and sporting activities, which include Nordic walking.

The information center in Jasenska valley has friendly and helpful staff who will give you all the necessary information, hiking and cycling trails and even provides walking canes for hire.

You can even buy souvenirs to remember your trip!
